Apex staff prepared an environmental assessment worksheet (EAW) for a large storage facility in Brainerd, Minnesota, adjacent to Hartley Lake. The Minnesota Environmental Policy Act requires analysis of specific projects to inform the public about the project and to help identify ways to protect the environment. The EAW is not meant to approve or deny a project but instead acts as a source of information to guide other approvals and permitting decisions. Completing the EAW required coordination with numerous agencies, including Crow Wing County, Minnesota DNR, and the Minnesota State Historic Preservation Office.
